The Ontario Psychiatric Association warmly welcomes you to the enriching specialty of psychiatry and invites you to attend a special event on July 22, 2024, just for incoming PGY1 trainees: “OPA Process Notes: Welcome to Psychiatry”!

 
The Ontario Psychiatric Association is the provincial voice of Ontario’s psychiatrists, and a place to call your professional home and identity. As a not-for-profit with operations driven by psychiatrists and trainees, the OPA focuses on systems advocacy, representing the interests of the profession of psychiatry and the needs of individuals living with mental illness and substance use disorders.

“OPA Process Notes: Welcome to Psychiatry” will feature an introduction to the Ontario Psychiatric Association’s advocacy work, as well as an overview of services and benefits to OPA members. You will have the opportunity to meet resident trainees who serve on the OPA Board of Directors and the OPA Resident Liaison Committee. 

This event is complimentary and limited to the first 50 registrants.

Submit your application for OPA membership early!

Residents who are OPA Members in Training ($25 membership fee) as of July 15, 2024 will be able to join break-out rooms after the main event, to meet other residents and ask questions more specific to your city or institution!
